Crocodile Bay Lodge – Costa Rica

As usual Chris is outstanding. He knows me well enough to be able to steer me to better spots than what I usually call him with. Everything went extremely smooth. Crocodile Bay Lodge staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a good trip. They upgraded us to the Striker at no charge. They made a terrific impression on us and I can’t wait to get back there. The fishing offshore was outstanding, but the fishing inshore was poor, but not for the guides/captain’s lack of trying. The rooster just weren’t there. Hey, that’s why they call it fishing……
Thanks Chris for another great trip, I’ll call you as soon as I can plan the next one.”

Chris, we are back, had a wonderful time hotter then all get out but beautiful. One day we hooked 12 sailfish and landed 10 not to bad . Everyone their was real nice, more than we expected. Excellent place to go to. Those little puddle jumpers at the end of the flights to get to Puerto Jimenez were crazy, but we made it. We caught a lot of fish, mostly sails a few tuna a couple of dorado, We also took an eco tour and saw a bunch of animals. I would recomand this trip to anyone who wants to catch a lot of sailfish. Thanks for everything. Michael Moen, Long Beach, California
Its tough to write a report like this ’cause many might think it’s propaganda or just pure BS., but the fishing couldn’t be better!Steve Newsome brought his group of fly-guys down again this year and raised as many as 26 sails per boat in a day. In five days of angling, twoin the group landed 25 sailfish on the fly! The concentration of fish is now just 5 miles off the beach. A few dorado are in with the sails and a 160lb. tuna made it to the dinner table.
Inside is also wide open. Father-son team of Mike & Mike Hatch took 23 roosterfish in a days outing. Some snook are still hitting at RioEsquinas and snapper in the 10 lb. range have pleased the palats of bottom fisherman. Top rooster of the week was 70 lbs! Come down and get apiece of the action!
