The Zancudo Lodge, where over 60 I.G.F.A records have been set, is world renowned for its inshore and offshore fishing. The lodge will customize any range of fishing adventures the angler desires, from inshore to offshore or fishing from the river banks. Only the most modern fishing equipment is used, and anglers have the ability to select any tackle of choice, from ultra light to fly. Zancudo’s captains are well known for their persistent and competitive nature, and they are all highly trained to ensure that you experience that ultimate fishing adventure at The Zancudo Lodge.
The Golfito Bay area of the Pacific Ocean has been producing excellent saltwater fishing for years – marlin, sailfish, dorado (dolphin fish), roosterfish, tuna, snook and countless other exotic species.
Zancudo Lodge is surrounded by the beauty of Costa Rican wildlife and foliage. Stretching for miles and miles, the private Zancudo beach offers the perfect setting for a massage or pure tranquil relaxation. Guests can also enjoy the picturesque scenery from our own beachfront pool and hot tub. All 20 rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with a mini-bar, international phone service, direct TV satellite television, and modern ensuite bathroom. There is daily maid and laundry service.
On Zancudo’s grounds, you will find an array of tropical fruits, such as mango, pineapple, star fruit, coconut and papaya, which is served fresh daily at the restaurant and bar. Zancudo’s chef prepares delicious culinary meals, catering to all preferences, and pride himself on the use of the finest and freshest local ingredients to satisfy the most discriminating palate.
The fishing fleet at Zancudo Lodge consists of 12 modern 28-foot center consoles powered by twin Suzuki four stroke engines. Each boat, custom built for fishing, is equipped with the latest electronics, live bait wells and outriggers. Guests will fish with first class equipment, second to none. The newly built docks house an I.G.F.A. certified scale for those guests on the quest of breaking that world record.
Upon landing at San José airport, you will be greeted by an English-speaking representative and escorted to a four-star hotel for an overnight stay. Early the next morning, you will be transported to the regional airport for a 45-minute flight to Golfito. Upon arrival, Zancudo’s skipper representative will transport you on a short boat ride to the lodge. You will then begin your first full day of fishing. Upon your return in the late afternoon, you will be able to relax, swim or beach comb before joining the restaurant for dinner and socializing. Day 2, etc. begins with breakfast served at 5:30am. Dock time is at 6:00am where you will begin another full day of fishing. The morning after your booked fishing days, breakfast will be served and you will be transported back to Golfito where you will catch your return flight to San José.

Rates include: Airport reception and ground transfers in San José first night stay at four star hotel in San Jose, round-trip flights to Golfito, boat transfers to/from Zancudo Lodge and Golfito, accommodations in deluxe A/C suites with free internet access, all meals at lodge, open bar, daily laundry service, fishing license, all tackle including fly gear, boat, captain, mate, and approximately 8-hour fishing day.

All-inclusive daily rate is $185 per guest which includes all meals, drinks, and lodging. Additional $350.00 per guest for ground transfers in San José, one night hotel accommodation and round trip airfare from San José to Golfito.
