DOMINICAN REPUBLIC FISHING
Our Punta Cana Fishing Charters target all types of offshore species, but we also provide nearshore and bottom fishing for small groups of people and also families with children. These fishing charters can produce a lot of action from the smaller species. We will take you and your guest fishing for smaller fish like permit, parrot fish, yellowtail snapper, barracudas and a few other species from our Caribbean reefs. Fly fishermen are also encouraged to fish from our charters, but you must bring your own equipment. (fishing rods and tackle). All billfish are released due to the fishing rules in Punta Cana and the Dominican Republic. Our main Captain has over 20 years of experience and his knowledge of the waters is second to none! All the Captains will make sure your fishing adventure is safe, fun and enjoyable. You will have a great chance to catch some of the fish that Punta Cana is known for. On most chartered trips, we recommend that you fish with a maximum of 7 and 2 or 3 people can observe. This ensures that everyone will be safe and everyone will have a good time. Punta Cana is located in the Tropics and it does rain often here, but we still offer our fishing service is 7 days a week. As long as it is not unsafe, we will go catch some fish. Whale watching is very popular during the months of January through March. The Humpback Whales visit the local water at this period of the year for birthing and mating. It is time to take advantage of our fishing knowledge and book your fishing trip of a lifetime. Rest assured we will work very hard to make your chartered Dominican Republic fishing trip an unforgettable and memorable adventure.
Gone Fishing Punta Cana
Based right at the beach, in the heart of Bavaro, Gone Fishing was established in Punta Cana in 2004 but it history begins much earlier, a company born from a wider field of fishing experience, Parasailing and charter Catamarans.
All of this experience shaped Gone Fishing into not only a great deep sea fishing excursion in Punta Cana but an outstanding service provider, the first to provide English and French speaking guide on the charters which continues to enhance the experience.
Gone Fishing started in 2004 with 2 Chris Craft 36’ sports fishers, Sarabel and Lizange, both were completely overhauled and opened up to make the fishing a better and more comfortable experience. Marimax was added in February 2006 and Noemi, a 38’ Trojan was added in November 2010.
