The lodge is built on the shore of the Belize River, within the shadow of P.S.W. Goldson International Airport. While it is conveniently located to civilization, the jungle lodge is situated where the serious light tackle sport fisherman or fly fisherman has the greatest opportunity to catch their special prize.

The lodge is strategically located so that they can always find fishing areas that are not affected by the vagaries of “Mother Nature”, such as high winds or abnormally low or high tides. Unlike many resorts, they do not have a limited fishing area. The fishing areas include the flats, the barrier reef, the coastal bays and mangroves, the numerous rivers, and the inland lagoons. They will always find the best places to fish for bonefish, permit, snook, tarpon, barracuda, grouper, king mackerel, snapper, wahoo, as well as others.

In addition to accommodating fishermen who prefer to use baitcasting, spinning or trolling tackle, we offer experienced personnel to assist both the novice, as well as the experienced fly fisherman. Tell your professional English speaking guides what your requirements are, and they will fulfill your every request.

While the Belize River is their highway to some of the very best fishing in all Belize, it is also one of the most scenic routes in the country. As you search for your trophy, be sure to absorb the natural beauty of Belize. Watch the birds and wildlife. Look for the gentle manatees. Experience the entire adventure.

The lodge is proud to be one of the pioneers in developing live-aboard fishing cruises within Belize. For the truly adventurous sport fisherman or cruising aficionado, this is the ultimate safari.

Travel to remote locations that are only accessible by motor yacht. Fish early, late, or all day from one of the comfortable 23 ft. boats that accompanies your yacht. At the end of the day, retire to your luxurious floating resort to relax and enjoy one of the spectacular sunsets that are only available in the tropics. Enjoy refreshments in the fully air-conditioned comfort of your vessel, then sit down to one of the excellent meals. After dinner, relax while you reflect upon your day, and begin planning for tomorrow’s adventure.

In an effort to offer their clients the very best in equipment and facilities, they are constantly upgrading their live aboard cruisers. For the discriminating sport fisherman, they have the luxurious “Cristina”, a 58 ft. Hatteras Yacht Fisherman. This vessel is the best equipped motor yacht in all of Belize, and she offers the absolute ultimate in personal accommodations, comfort, and safety. Also, for your safety and comfort, they recently refurbished and refitted their time honored performer “Blue Yonder”, a 52 ft. Chris Craft.

Enjoy the natural history of Belize from the comfort and safety of your 23 ft. custom made boat. Since their knowledgeable, English speaking guides are personally familiar with the flora and fauna of their area, they are eminently aware of where to find beautiful tropical plants and wildlife.

Observe the many birds along the shorelines of the coast, the rivers and the lagoons. Listen to the jungle sounds of the wildlife. Inhale the fragrances of the beautiful flowering plants. Experience the natural beauty of tropical Belize.

Blessed with a rich archaeological history of their Maya ancestors, the Department of Archaeology is actively excavating and restoring the magnificent plazas and temples that existed some 1,000 years ago. The lodge offers land based tours of the Maya ruins with one of their many eco tours.
