fly fishing rainbow trout in the Green River
THE GREEN RIVER HAS IT ALL!!

fly fishing brown trout in the Green RiverOne of the finest tail water fisheries in the world, the Green River is located below the Flaming Gorge dam in northeastern Utah. Utah Division of Wildlife Resources show a fish population of 8,000 to 20,000 fish per mile, with a fish growth rate of one to two inches per month. The Green has large rainbow and brown trout, 15" to 20" inches, with 16" to 18" being average. It offers year round fishing, each season having its own type of fishing. There are 26 miles of extraordinary fishing water, that has been divided into 3 sections, A, B, and C, as access to the river is very limited. Drift fishing is the only practical way to fish it all.
