Founded in 1958 as an exclusive destination for outdoor recreation and adventure, the Club continues today as a world-renowned bonefishing and sporting club. Travel Options: Ft. Lauderdale Jet Center Charters fly you to our 4,200 ft. paved on-island airstrip in less than an hour. Tie down areas are available for private jets and Customs and Immigration are located on-island as well, for your convenience.

Commercial flights to Freeport are available through major airlines. Deep Water Cay Club arranges for taxi and the drive to the east end takes just over an hour. Our ferry meets you at the dock in Maclean's Town and it's just another 8 minutes to the island.

The Club's lodge is a spectacular meeting place.
Beautiful panoramic views only enhance this new facility. The screened porch sitting area, dining room, bar, game room, and living room provide ample space for entertaining and socializing. In addition to the beautifully refurbished cottages, we have two deluxe 2 bedroom cottages ideal for families, couples, or small groups.

Truly the most exclusive private sport fishing island of the Bahamas, the Club accommodates a maximum of 22 guests and caters to those who prefer an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. In addition to fishing on the protected backwaters and over 300 square miles of the most productive bonefish flats in the Bahamas, Deep Water Cay offers exceptional club conveniences and services, and a wide range of activities for all members of the family.

Flats Fishing:
Deep Water Cay provides 250 square miles of pristine, world class flats fishing. Bonefish average 4-6 lbs. The 2004-2005 season has been exceptional with many Bones being caught and released in the 10 lbs+ weight range!

Other fish caught of record size are Mutton Snapper, Barracuda, Horse Eye Jack, Lemon Shark and Black Tip Shark. With luck on your side, you may even get a shot at the elusive Permit. Permit in this area run from 15-50 lbs. Our fully stocked tackle shop carries over 20 different fly patterns and will take care of all your saltwater fishing needs. Top of the line flyfishing and light spinning tackle are expertly maintained and available for rental.

You're there to rest, don't over sleep, you might miss out on seeing the day break tailing fish. There are schools of them, coming up on the flats. You will have to choose which fish you want to play with. That can be hard when there are to many fish and just you and your partner to catch them.
