This two week sample itinerary combines the best of New Zealand fishing along with some sightseeing. We assure you this is the top and most reliable fishing in New Zealand allowing a chance to see the most interesting parts of this wonderful, two Island country as well.
Of course, Itinerary can be altered to fit anglers not wishing sightseeing.

Day 1: Arrive Auckland.
Cab to harbor view hotel downtown Auckland. Afternoon at leisure Auckland.

Day 2: Depart Auckland by train and arrive Rotorua.
Settle in lake side private B @ B.
Evening cab to Mauri Luau and traditional dancing.

Day 3: Breakfast.
Fishing on lake trolling for big rainbows.
The owner has a boat here and is a great fisherman.
Afternoon fish barbecue.
Overnight.

Day 4: Pick up by Taupo Lodge staff and transfer to Lake Taupo and small fishing lodge with great food.
(All meals and guided fishing included at lodge.)
Dinner.
Overnight.

Day 5: Breakfast.
Morning fishing session with stream side lunch and afternoon fishing.
We have had many fishermen at this lodge.
The guides are by far the finest on the North Island. The largest fish in New Zealand are taken from here.
It is an exciting little lodge!
Dinner.
Overnight.

Day 6: Same.

Day 7: Same.

Day 8: Breakfast.
Transfer by staff to Taupo airport.
Flight to Queenstown on the South Island.
Overnight at good Queenstown hotel.

Day 9: Enjoy Queenstown.
Have lunch up the gondola at a mountain top restaurant,
take the Shotover River jet boat ride (very exciting). Overnight at good Queenstown hotel.

Day 10: Fly to Milford Sound.
Cruise this magnificent fjord with lunch.
Return to Queenstown and overnight.

Day 11: Pickup by staff of a river side farm and transfer to farm.
This farm boasts many miles of private trout waters on the famous upper Mataura River.
There are several spring creeks as well.
Guides also have many other streams in the area in which to fish.
Dinner.
Overnight.

Day 12: Breakfast.
Fishing private waters and other.
Stream side lunch and afternoon fishing.
Dinner.
Overnight.

Day 13: Same.

Day 14: Same.

Day 15: Same.

Day 16: Breakfast.
Transfer to Queenstown in time to catch flight to Auckland and evening departure for the United States.
