Juan
River
which
creates
the
boundary

Costa
Rica
and
Nicaragua.
We
began
fishing
there
in
1974
and
helped
develop
the
fishery.
The
Rio
Colorado
is
the
heaviest
flowing
river
in
Costa
Rica.
It
is
this
volume
of
fresh
water
pouring
into
the
Caribbean
which
attracts

river's
famous
concentration
of
large
tarpon.
Rio
Colorado
Lodge

river's

slides

1999
La
Guaira
has
been
rebuilding.
It
took
seven
months
for
our
operator
to
get
back
in
business
and
he
has
had
good
billfish
action.
The
Macuto
Sheraton,
our
main
hotel,

not
reopened
- because
it
has
been
the
headquarters
for
the
workers
brought
into
the
area
for
rebuilding.
